Jake started his working career as a field guide in the Waterberg and then at Mala Mala Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. He then spent a few years working in property investment in the banking and finance industry in London. After returning to South Africa, Jake worked in tourism investment consulting and spent several years working as a Development Manager in residential and commercial property development projects at Barrow Properties. Jake is a Chartered Surveyor and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He has a Master’s degree in Real Estate and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Financial Accounting.
Creative Design, Media and Marketing
Ross attended the University of Cape Town and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film, Media and Visual Studies. Ross then spent a brief spell in the United Kingdom, before returning to South Africa to work as a wildlife filmmaker’s assistant in the Kruger National Park. Ross then went on to manage a Shell station in Cape Town, before returning to his childhood passion for Africa by joining African Array in 2010. Ross heads up creative design.
Online Content and Marketing
Shamsa studied at Wits University, where she obtained a BA degree, with a major in Geography. She joined the Safari Index, a product of African Array, in 2014. In 2016, she completed a postgraduate degree in Nature Conservation. She is responsible for the online content and marketing for the Safari Index.
